Dublin University Players is this year proud to announce, “Celtic Twilight: A Festival of Irish Writing”, a festival celebrating the diversity of Irish theatre and the literary arts, taking place in and around the beautiful Trinity campus from the 2nd-5th June. The festival programme caters for all audiences, featuring enlightening talks from high-profile artists like Marina Carr and Mark O’Rowe, a literary walking tour of Dublin, spectacular night events, and theatrical performances produced by the membership of award-winning Trinity society, DU Players. As well as this, Celtic Twilight offers a wide range of workshops, including satirical writing, spoken word, playwriting, journalistic writing, poetry and creative writing workshops from prominent Irish writing companies like Fishamble.
Dublin University Players is the Drama society of Trinity College Dublin, voted best large society 2016 by Trinity’s Central Societies Committee, and is the most active student theatre society in Ireland, producing almost 60 shows every academic year.
