Brian Finnegan

Brian is a Solutions Architect with Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS) in Dublin with over 20 years of experience in IT management, consultancy, and service provision. Prior to joining Sungard AS, Brian held several positions, including Project Manager at AboveNet, IT Network Manager at Maxol, and Senior Consultant at Ciall (an IT Consultancy).
Brian started with Sungard AS in 2009 as a Professional Services Engineer, progressing to Operations Lead. In 2012 he joined Amazon Web Services as a Technical Account Manager, and in 2014 re-joined Sungard AS as a Solutions Architect.
Before switching to an IT career, Brian was an Avionics Engineer for Aer Lingus where he worked on line and base maintenance of commercial aircraft.
Brian holds a BSc in Information Technology and an MSc in Internet Systems from Dublin City University.
