Kieran has worked in the Energy sector in a variety of roles for the past 13 years including I&C customer pricing, energy trading, risk & governance, emerging technologies. He is currently managing the ESB Innovation Data Science team.

Presentation Title: Big Data & Analytics – what does this mean for Utilities?

Synopsis: With the advent of smart devices and internet of things, Big Data & Analytics is a growing trend that is becoming more and more prevalent in our everyday lives. But how is this relevant from a Utilities perspective? In this talk I will give a broad overview of potential opportunities that exist to utilise the benefit of applied analytical analysis in the energy sector. I will also discuss some of the analytical projects & techniques we have used to develop new products & services.
